Celebrating Pride 2025

C-LARAH was honored to attend WeHo Pride on May 31 and June 1 and LA Pride on June 8 as a community vendor. On June 1, we also marched with UCLA as a part of the WeHo Pride Parade.

Dr. Yuhang Qian completed his PhD in Epidemiology with his dissertation on the behavioral and psychosocial predictors of adverse health outcomes among sexual minority men in the MACS/WIHS Combined Cohort Study (MWCCS). Callisto Boka completed his MS in Epidemiology on substance use and STI positivity among sexual and gender minority young adults. Kiana Aminzadeh graduated with her B.S. in Physiological Science and a B.A. in gender studies. Go Bruins!

C-LARAH is proud to celebrate and recognize our graduate students for their recent awards and accomplishments.
Sarah Blankespoor was awarded the Karen Toffler Charitable Trust Student Research Award and the HEALRISE (Health, Racism, Inequities, and Social Epidemiology) Scholarship.
Jack Feng received the 2025 Charles E. Harless Graduate Student Leadership Award, the Steve Wallace Policy Fellowship, the Point Access Scholarship, and the Williams Institute Summer Social Science Fellowship.
Connor Wright was awarded the Wilshire Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine.
